When I first stumbled upon Little Mistress, I was ecstatic to find an assortment of cozy winter wear and holiday dresses. The best part of it all, their items are affordable and on trend! I fell in love with this fluffy, plaid sweater and knew it would be the perfect staple for winter. So Much to Celebrate

If you don't already know, this past year has been whirlwind. My boyfriend and I made the big leap from DC to LA, encountering exciting, difficult, unpredictable, and challenging moments... all of which are part of the journey, and I don't regret a single ounce of it. We've made so many new friends, seen so many new places, and have picked up so many new hobbies. (Still trying to master paddle boarding in the strong pacific currents.) My reason #1 to celebrate.
Reason #2: Today I turn 26, phew! I've made it this far with a few bumps in the road. We all know that our 20's aren't necessarily the easiest decade. Turning 26 in particular, is the year you officially, OFFICIALLY become an adult. Getting the boot from your family insurance plan along with many other things, I'd still say this is an age worth celebrating. When you're in your 20's, you're in your prime, you're man handling your career as you climb that executive latter. You also have the capability to go wherever and do whatever you want in the WORLD before being tied down and raising a family. I'd say it's all pretty liberating.

Sometimes, all it takes is a fun pair of shoes to make the perfect statement. Not only do they stand out on my feet, but in my closet too. I think its important everyone has at least one item like that. I love the idea of giving my go-to Jbrand jeans and my overly worn Forever 21 chambray blouse a little something extra. You don't always have to go on a shopping spree in order to come up with fun, innovative styles... it can be more thrilling to mix and match pieces that are already in your closet!
