A Little Something Extra

So grateful for the amazing article Washingtonian Magazine wrote up on MT yesterday. If you missed it, you can check it out here at Washingtonian's Shop Around Blog. To get you up close and personal with the exclusive styles, I thought I'd do a quick run-down of the looks and where you can buy them! I had a great time styling these ensembles with Nordstrom, Montgomery. Make sure to get your hands on one of these FABULOUS Uber Clutches as well by Gigi New York ! They even engrave it for you. Losers Weepers

You know how the saying goes, "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers," and in this case, you snooze, you lose. One of my new found favorite brands is selling, and selling FAST. Finders KEEPERS is an Australian established brand that blends crafty and quirky, into affordable garments that wont go out of style. Their pieces leaves for a bold, bright, and comfortable look. Their attention to detail is really what drove me to their style in the first place: from the piping, lining, layering, hard wear and pattern combinations that you will see individually through out their clothing.

Geometric

Featuring: Vivienne Kelly

When I was first introduced to Vivienne Kelly's Jewelry line, I was astounded to see such a unique style. Her line is an array of hand painted pieces, using a variety of techniques such as paint splatter, color blocking and graffiti prints. I fell in love with her 70's infused style Adriana Earrings. Once they came in the mail, I immediately knew which dress of mine to pair it with. I love how the geometric style goes hand in hand with my flowy tunic dress. It left me with a very bright, bold, color combination that all seemed to compliment each other very well.

"Flat" Broke

When I first laid eyes on these Jenni Kayne flats while reading "Cupcakes and Cashmere," I was shocked to find out how dang expensive they were. I'm in my twenties, and I'm not made out of money. (Hence, "Flat" Broke... I take after my fathers humor.) I figured they must have been made out of gold with leather imported from Italy. Ok, well not really THAT nice, but you get what I'm saying. One of my favorite fellow bloggers BSoup, happened to be sporting an almost identical pair when I came to find that she spent nearly a fraction of the price on hers. And may I say, she styles them fabulously! So what's it to ya? REAL... or DEAL??

Floral Fling

Featuring: Anuja Tolia

As we all know well, what goes around comes around. 70's style bell bottoms, scooter skirts, and ascot blouses to name a few. This floral blazer has been sitting in my Mom's closet for years. Funny, becuase floral blazers just came back in style this season. Too bad she didn't keep all of her clothes growing up. If she did, my wardrobe would be set!

Todays look is paired with Anuja Tolia's 2 Row Link Bracelet. Her jewelry is fused with inspiration of Indian artisanship and Western flare.

Rompin' Around

There's nothing like a bold, red (Amanda Uprichard), modern day romper, mixed with a vintage, polka dot blazer. All together, it's sophisticated and classy, yet gives an "hey, I also like to party," look. I love the extra touch of the floral brooch along with it too. (Moschino blazer now available at Reddz).

My new Taryn Reed, Agate bracelet is the perfect, every day, go to. It's a great accessory to  layer with other bracelets and watches. Who ever said, "when in doubt, go with less"? Definitely not me. Happy Tuesday!

The Wanted List

Just this past week, I laid eyes on a beautiful pair of J Brand colorblock jeans. It was love at first site and now it is all I can seem to think about. (Ok, well maybe not ALL) but they are just absolutely fabulous for spring. Their modern style with a flair of mixed colors make this denim easy to pair. Since I'm such a fan of mixing patterns, I put these colorblocked jeans together with a polka dot shirt, a herringbone print bag, and a pair of strappy sandals that also play off of the colorblocked pattern. They all seem to compliment each other well.
