The Nou Best Thing

Featuring: Noubar
It's always nice to support our fellow USA manufacturers. With that, I give you sisters Anahid and Arminé Thompson, creators of "Noubar." Bags with a cool, playful, unexpected, one of a kind twist. These going out bags are created out of repurposed vinyl from old billboard signs, making up the perfect marriage of old and new... proudly made in the USA! With a knack for pattern mixing, I instantly fell in love with the Woodland A 1 Bag. I'm currently coveting this summer time look! Check out other awesome Noubar bags here!

Tom Boy

THREADED THURSDAY'S WITH NORDSTROM

For those of you who knew me while I was growing up, you know well that I wasn't much of a girly girl. The girliest thing I would wear was an Arielle (from The Little Mermaid) pajama set. Of course, I eventually grew out of that phase. (Clearly, since I'm running a fashion blog here.) But that Tom-boy look still holds a place in my heart. This sophisticated, letterman-looking outfit gives that vibe. Yes, I used to own the soccer field at recess, and yes, I used to be able to outrun all of the boys in P.E. I STILL believe I can do that.

Shop the make-up from this post here.

It's neon orange pop, made for an easy pairing with any colorful top. With some minor color blocking, it was a no-brainer to incorporate my mint Gigi New York Uber Clutch. THREADED THURSDAY'S WITH NORDSTROM

Ok everyone, brace yourselves. "Threaded Thursday's," will be coming your way every week, featuring exclusive looks from Nordstrom, Montgomery. This will be the perfect place to look for inspiration, and if you're local, pop on over to Montgomery Mall to find the same styles and more!

"Make Up your Wardrobe"-NARS
Nordstrom is also known for a wide variety of awesome make-up. Nono, over at the NARS counter did such a fabulous job on my face; giving my skin an effortless, flawless look. I personally, am terrible when it comes to cosmetics. I really don't know much about them. If you're anything like me, make sure to check them out at Nordstrom, Montgromery if you're in need of a little help too!

1)NARS Pro-Prime Multi-Protect Primer SPF 30- Light reflecting: Great for being photographed, weddings, etc.
2)NARS 'Pure Radiant' Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30- Essentially the first ever "BB Cream," without actually being called "BB Cream." It consists of replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock, just under another name.
3)NARS Radiant Creamy ConcealerEnriched with hydrating, multi-action skincare benefits and light-diffusing technology. It's perfect for me since I have such dry skin.
4)NARS Orgasm Blush- Aside from being amused by it for its name, it imparts a natural, healthy glow for any skin tone and may be worn alone or layered together for more depth and intensity.
5)NARS Satin Lip Pencil- Saving the best for last, this color is FAB. It stays on your lips for hours.  A modern, long-wearing, vitamin-enriched formula for lips that look sumptuously saturated and dramatically defined.

White Brights

Very excited to jump back into bright whites with Memorial Day weekend just around the corner! Instead of pairing patterns for this look, I focused more on the textures of each item. I loved the idea of the origami looking skort from Zara, paired with a tweed-like jacket, white fringes, and a white lazer-cut bag. For a finished look, I wore a pair of python textured heels and a touch of neon.
